I can't express my excitement while writing this article because there's a lot of anxiety and nervousness while writing down my thoughts. In this article I am only trying to be an anchor of some fragmented ideologies and bring them together and prove that they are complimentary instead of being contradictory. I would recommend you to spare at least 2 hrs for this article as I'm going to share some videos which are really substantial and are a must watch to understand why have I been so sure in giving such a title to this article.
Beginning with those people who think that "Khalistan" is nothing but just a figment of imagination and sheer stupidity I would recommend them watching a series of seven videos by National Sikh Youth Federation (NSYF), UK and I'm sure they'll realize that Khalistan is a nation in the making ever since Guru Nanak came to earth and his message of equality and sovereignty was carried forward and propagated in different forms by different Gurus and Sikh leaders who carried forward their legacy. This video series is a must watch for all the rational thinkers who don't believe in getting blinded by religious sentiments and are comfortable in understanding English.

Now if you've thoroughly watched all these videos and heard all the speakers carefully you will come down to a conclusion that Khalistan or a sovereign sikh nation is a reality that needs to be realized soon. On the other hand, if you are a non-sikh you are most likely to label me as a fundamentalist or an anti-nationalist or a day dreamer. That is why I would like to present another couple of videos of Ultra-nationalism that aren't less than day-dreaming either. These are the videos of RSS propagated philosophy of "Akhand Bharat" but personally they are a delight for me to watch being an Indian.
Now here is another video explaining the need of "Akhand Bharat" and some of the reasons are pretty genuine as this philosophy is another way of promoting unity and integrity in the South-East Asian region. Kindly watch and read all the 15 reasons carefully.
I don't know why but somehow I'm convinced about the need for the "Akhand Bharat" as well as "Khalistan". Maybe I'm influenced too much by these videos or find these concepts quite fascinating. Now there's another video of a spiritual guru who always advocated personal freedom and invited a lot of criticism for his distinct ways, made enemies around the world but earned himself a distinct place in the world of religion and Spirituality. Rajneesh Osho has influenced millions of people with his spiritual philosophies but I'm about to share a video where he has expressed his political opinion and it was most likely recorded at the time when the sikh community was going through 1984 holocaust. As the video is in Hindi, it might be a little tough for those who aren't comfortable with the language but it's a must watch for those who can understand Hindi. In this video he has advocated freedom and sovereignty for all those states who crave it and then all those states coming together to stand for each other in the times of need and always be open to help each other. Actually he hasn't given a philosophy of Akhand bharat but his opinion somehow relates to it and draws a road-map for Akhand Bharat.
Now keeping in view all these 10 videos I somehow feel that the philosophies of "Khalistan" and "Akhand Bharat" aren't contradictory but complimentary. Even today India is referred to as nation of nations by many intellectuals but if somehow the concept of Akhand Bharat materializes, it can make for a south-east Asian superpower where there are a number of "Sovereign units" and not "Federal units" coming together to form a super-nation which is strongly intertwined because of its social, economic, political and cultural interdependence. Of course there will be absolutely new and unknown challenges, the biggest one of those will be that it will be the most populated region in the world. But somehow if we feel that this will make for a region which would be self sufficient in itself, sufficing its own social, economic and political needs, let alone being a key player in the global trade & commerce and having a political standing in the globe, good enough to end the Uni-polarity of the world polity by marking the end of the US hegemony, it's not a bad idea at all.
Challenges for Khalistan
The first and the foremost challenge of Khalistan would be that it will be a landlocked state with no sea-port if we consider the territory of erstwhile Punjab as the new territory of Khalistan. Another big challenge would be to get back the lost territory as the current Punjab is only 12% of the pre-independence actual Punjab. Suppose we leave alone the West Punjab in Pakistan comprising 62% of the territory and get back Haryana, Himachal and Chandigarh through another State Reorganization Act, we'll form only 38% of the total territory which was separated by the State Reorganization Act of 1966. All these thoughts seem quite fantasized until I consider the formation of PEPSU (Patiala and Eastern Punjab State Unions) which had only a life of 8 years i.e. form 1948 to 1956. Nine princely states came together under the leadership of Patiala Royal family and formed an independent state but couldn't withstand the test of time and were re-merged into Punjab after just 8 years. So it gives me some sort of hope to get back Haryana and Himachal. SYL canal issue can provide a substantial economic excuse.
So, who knows what the future has in store ?? Anything is possible.
